Departemen Ilmu Komputer dan Elektronika, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Gadjah Mada, melalui Lab Riset SKJ, akan menyelenggarakan acara Seminar Nasional “Smart City Outlook 2023: Big Data”.
Seminar Nasional Smart City Outlook pada tahun 2022 dilaksanakan dengan fokus pada perkembangan teknologi pendukung Smart City di Indonesia. Pada tahun 2023 ini Seminar Nasional Smart City tahun 2023 dilaksanakan dengan fokus pada dukungan teknologi Big Data. Big Data menjadi salah satu pemantik dan pendorong bagi terciptanya kumpulan data secara besar untuk pemanfaatan di masa depan. Konsep Smart City menjadi suatu konsep dan strategi bagi Pemerintah Derah untuk melakukan pengembangan sistem pengelolaan pemerintahan baik yang sudah berjalan atas inisiatif masing-masing perangkat daerah, menjadi lebiih terkoneksi, terintegrasi dan melibatkan pihak lain sebagai stakeholder Kota/Kabupaten, untuk mewujudkan pelayanan kepada masyarakat yang lebih baik. Smart City menjadi salah satu perwujudan yang direalisasikan dengan menghadirkan pusat pelayanan dan meningkatkan keberdayaan masyarakat salah satunya melalui penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi.
